Paragraph 42, Learning to Read by Malcom X

After attending few interviews, Mr. Malcom was invited to London. Traveling to and back on a plane across the Atlantic, he read through documents talking about the United Nation’s proposal on how they want to make sure that all oppressed minorities in the world get equal human rights. He emphasizes that oppression on the black men is the worst case of stealing human rights in the world. The reason that black oppression is just an American issue is because he is yet get civil rights. Mr. Malcom raises a strong question by asking how one can gain civil rights before human rights can. An American black man would have gained the attention of the United Nations if he starts to think about his human rights and considers himself among the world’s greatest people.
